Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Sorable Sdn Bhd ("we", "us", "our") for your use of the FamilySora mobile application and related services. By creating an account, signing in, or using FamilySora, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy at https://familysora.com/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. If you use FamilySora on behalf of a family, you represent that you have authority to manage that family's records and to invite other members.
Service description
FamilySora provides a private family vault for storing records, documents, child profiles, and reminders. The service is intended for personal, non-commercial family use. FamilySora is not a medical, legal, financial, or emergency service and does not replace professional advice or official record-keeping required by law.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@familysora.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
Your content & responsibilities
You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, store, back up, and display your content solely to provide the service to you and your authorized family members. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of information you upload. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, harmful, or malicious content. Do not attempt to access another family's vault or circumvent security controls.
Family access & roles
The family owner may invite other users by email as parents (can add and edit shared records) or viewers (read-only). You are responsible for managing who has access to your family vault and for removing members who should no longer have access. Invited users must already have a FamilySora account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse FamilySora, including by: reverse engineering or scraping the service except as permitted by law; introducing malware; interfering with service operation; using the service for spam or unauthorized commercial activity; or violating applicable laws or third-party rights.
Subscriptions & billing
FamilySora offers a free plan and optional FamilySora Pro subscriptions. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed by those platforms under their terms. Subscription renewals, cancellations, refunds, and restore purchases are handled according to the applicable app store policies unless otherwise required by law.
Privacy
Your use of FamilySora is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information. Export and account deletion tools are available in Settings.
Intellectual property
FamilySora, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by Sorable Sdn Bhd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or service except the limited right to use the app as intended.
Availability & changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We strive to keep FamilySora available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, updates, or events outside our control may cause temporary interruptions.
Disclaimer of warranties
FamilySora is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sorable Sdn Bhd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of FamilySora is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sorable Sdn Bhd from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using FamilySora and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the service, or if we must do so to comply with law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends, and account deletion processes described in our Privacy Policy apply.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Malaysia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms in the app and on https://familysora.com/terms and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated where required. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
